Think about it. Are you buying bottled water at a convenience store? It may be convenient but do you realize that you are buying water that costs cents per gallon from your  home to over the cost of gasoline at $4.00 a gallon or more at the convenience store?  That’s crazy! Plus since the chlorine has been removed from the water and then it sits on a shelf for weeks, well you get the picture. The water you’re getting isn’t always the greatest. Let’s not even get into how many of those plastic water bottles get disposed of every year. It’s estimated that over 30 billion a year. Yikes.

What we did is purchase  a whole house filter from Better Water Store.  We got the Aquasana Rhino EQ-300. This filter is what they call a “whole house filter” which means all of the water coming into the house gets filtered. That’s right including the laundry, shower, kitchen, everywhere. Cost was $799 including shipping and we had our plumber install it for $150 dollars. Works great!

It’s not just a water filter that is attached to your faucet or under your sink, it actually gets connect where the water comes into the house. Usually it put in the garage next to the hot water heater connect to the cold water intake before it goes into the hot water heater.  After it’s installed you now have a “whole house filter”. The advantages of this type of filter is many.

You will now get a great shower without any chlorine smell. Your skin and hair will be in much better shape and you won’t be inhaling any of the chlorine fumes that your shower filter head produces. Next your clothes will be nicer,  as once again you won’t have the effects of chlorine in your clothes washer.  Much longer lasting dark colors especially those dark golf shirts that are so expensive. They will look good for a lot longer now. Lastly your dishwasher will have filtered water going through it. Much less water spots. All in all a great choice for our home.
