Kangen Water is  a trademark name  of  Enagic Corporation of Japan  which means “return to the origin”. Their water ionizer machine is marketed through a multi-level distribution  organization. Although their machines work like any other company producing water ionizers, their price is more expensive due to the nature of multi-level marketing. That being said, consumers that try alkaline ionized water rarely go back to conventional water. This author has used a water ionizer for over 10 years and certainly wouldn’t.

What’s so special about ionized water?  There are  two main characteristics of the water. The first is raising the alkalinity of the water from 6.0 or 7.0 to 9 to 9.5.  Authors such as Dr. Robert O. Young have done extensive research on the benefits of a “high alkaline” diet.
